Terms of Use
Last updated: July 2026
Free to use
FoxCalc calculators are free for personal and commercial use. You may use the results in your own quotes, bids and project planning without attribution or a license.
Estimates, not engineering
Every result on FoxCalc is a planning estimate produced from standard industry formulas and the numbers you enter. Results are not a substitute for a professional takeoff, an engineered design, or a building permit. Structural work, septic systems and HVAC design are regulated: confirm requirements with your local building department and licensed professionals before construction begins.
No warranty
The calculators are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We work hard to keep formulas, reference tables and defaults accurate, but we cannot guarantee they match your local code, your supplier’s products, or your site conditions. You are responsible for verifying quantities and costs before ordering materials or committing to a price.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FoxCalc is not liable for any losses arising from the use of the site, including material shortages or overages, failed inspections, or cost overruns based on calculator output.
Changes
We may update calculators, content and these terms as the library grows. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. These terms were last updated in July 2026.
